What this covers

This policy explains how Giftworthy Tales handles information when you browse, create a personalized book, save an order or contact us. Our contact is hello@giftworthytales.com. Giftworthy Tales is the store name; this page does not represent it as an incorporated company.

Photos, stories and saved books

We use the photo, name, relationship, hobbies, memories and other details you provide to create your requested cover, sample and book. Only include information you have permission to share. Avoid unnecessary sensitive details.

Your working draft is stored in this browser. When you request writing or artwork, the relevant photo and details are sent through our server to OpenAI. Continuing to checkout saves a private server copy so your order can be recovered and completed. A generated illustration can still contain a recognizable likeness even after the source photo is removed.

We do not publish your private book in our examples or use it as an advertisement without separate permission.

Orders, payment and email

Stripe hosts the payment form. We receive order and payment references, payment status, your checkout email and shipping details needed to fulfill the order. We do not receive your complete card number or security code.

We use Resend for order confirmations, book-ready messages with private access links, and shipping notifications. Your email address and message content are processed for delivery. These are service messages, not a newsletter subscription. Private access links expire and should not be shared.

To print and deliver your hardcover, Gelato receives the production file and the recipient and shipping information.

Cookies, account access and measurement

An essential cookie protects saved-order access on your browser. If you choose to connect saved books to your ChatGPT account, we associate them with an opaque account identifier so you can access them after signing in on another device. Connecting your account is optional.

If you allow measurement, we count visits and progress through the book flow and remember the campaign and video that brought you here. At checkout, we can associate those labels with your order and its confirmed purchase value to understand which ads lead to sales. Measurement excludes photos, names, stories, payment card details and private book links. We respect supported browser requests not to track. With your permission, the Meta Pixel also receives visit, checkout and confirmed purchase events, purchase value, and browser/network information such as IP address and cookie identifiers to measure and improve our ads. Meta handles that information under its own privacy policy. We do not send your private order URL, photos, names or stories. Browser blocking or withholding permission can prevent ad measurement. Temporary usage counters help limit misuse and generation spending.

Use Privacy choices at the bottom of the page to change permission. Choosing Essential only stops future optional measurement on this browser and asks our server to clear saved ad labels from associated orders. If the connection fails, we show a notice and retry while the site is open or when you return. Measurement permission expires after 30 days. We retain random permission identifiers to prevent a withdrawn choice from being reactivated by a delayed request. Our previously recorded counts expire after 90 days. Withdrawal does not recall events already sent to Meta; Meta controls its own retention. Necessary order and payment records are kept separately.

Live chat

Tawk.to loads when you choose to open live chat. It processes the messages, contact details and attachments you submit, along with technical information such as your IP address and browser. It may use storage to keep the conversation available. Our integration does not automatically send your book photo, story or private access link into chat. Chat asks for your email so the owner can reply if you leave or the owner is away. This is for support follow-up, not newsletter signup. You can also email us directly.

Where information is processed

The website uses OpenAI Sites hosting with Cloudflare infrastructure for server processing and private file storage. The services named above may process information outside your country. Their own privacy terms describe their processing: OpenAI, Cloudflare, Stripe, Resend, Gelato and Tawk.to.

How long we keep information

A browser draft stays until you clear it, replace it or remove the browser’s storage. Unpaid background working copies, where present, expire after seven days and are removed during cleanup when the service is next used. Paid-order generation files are kept for completion and support and are not subject to that seven-day working-copy limit.

The original source photo saved for an order is removed when the completed book is successfully saved. Generated illustrations, completed books, order records and support records remain available for fulfillment and customer support. There is currently no automatic deletion schedule for all paid-order records; contact us to request deletion. Some transaction records may need to be retained for accounting, dispute handling or legal obligations. Providers may have separate retention periods.

Optional measurement records expire after 90 days and are removed when measurement cleanup next runs. One-use email access links expire after seven days; an opened link grants that browser access for up to 30 days.

Your choices and requests

You can clear the draft on this device below. Eligible saved copies can be deleted in My saved books. Clearing a browser draft does not delete a server order or information already processed by a provider.

For a copy, correction or deletion of other information, email us. We may ask you to verify access to the order before sharing or deleting it. We review requests individually; deleting required working files may prevent us from completing an unfinished book. We do not ask for payment credentials to verify a privacy request.

Children and changes

The book studio is intended for adults. An adult submitting another person’s photo or story must have appropriate permission, including permission from a parent or guardian where required. Contact us if information was submitted without permission. We will update this page when our practices change and show the revision date above.
